Breathwork is becoming more and more popular as a tool to improve both your physical, mental and spiritual health. Considered an alternative therapy, it can be particularly beneficial to those with anxiety and stress problems.

There are a number of programmes both at home and away which allow you to spend time, usually several days up to a week, developing and improving your breathing techniques. Breathwork therapy may also be included within other wellbeing programmes and sanctuaries, such as yoga, pilates and meditation.

Please note: any breathwork practice or therapy should be conducted with a qualified instructor, therapist or doctor. Some forms such as holotropic breathwork can lead to hyperventilation and cramping and should not be practiced alone.
