We get asked this question a lot, so here are some items that are commonly recommended to pack for a retreat:

  • Comfortable clothing: Bring clothes that are suitable for the activities you will be participating in, such as yoga or hiking, and that are also comfortable for lounging.
  • Shoes: Pack comfortable walking shoes and shoes for any specific activities you will be participating in.
  • Toiletries: Pack your regular toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
  • Medications: Don’t forget any prescription medications, and consider bringing over-the-counter remedies for headaches, pain relief, and other common ailments.
  • First-aid kit: A small first-aid kit with band-aids, pain relief medication, and antiseptic cream is a good idea.
  • Yoga mat or other equipment: If you will be participating in yoga or other physical activities, bring any necessary equipment, such as a yoga mat.
  • Electronics: If you want to bring your laptop, phone, or camera, make sure you have the necessary chargers and cords.
  • Books, journal, and writing materials: Retreats can be a great opportunity to disconnect from technology and engage in quiet reflection.
  • Personal items: Don't forget to pack any personal items that you need such as a water bottle, sunglasses, hat, or sunscreen.
  • Cash or credit card: Some retreats may be located in remote areas and may not have easy access to ATMs.

It is always a good idea to check with the retreat center before you go to see if they have any specific packing requirements or recommendations.
